Well today I did my 21st workout at Curves. They say it takes 21 times to make a habit. This is a good thing. I am still loving it. Even though I have a long way to go to my goal, I already feel so much better now that I am exercising. I want to thank everyone for all the encouraging words. It definately helps. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Spring weather. It is my favorite time of the year. People seem to be in better moods when the weather is like this!

New Blog Design!
So this blogging is lots of fun. It is amazing what I can learn on my own, without having to bug my hubby on computer stuff. I thought I needed to brighten up my page design a bit.
Well this week has gone really well. I am still loving Curves and I am adjusting pretty well to my new schedule of getting up at 4 a.m. Driving at that time of morning is quite peaceful actually. I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Spring weather. It sure has helped my attitude. Have a GREAT weekend!

Beginner Blogger!
Ok, so I am just beginnig this blogging deal. I am a little computer slow, so hopfully I will learn it. I wanted to start this blog to help me keep motivated to bettering my life both physically and spiritually. I am a firm believer that they go hand-in-hand. I have been overweight most all of my adult life and struggled with it in high school. I have done many diets and have yo-yoed all the time. I know now that I have turned 41, I am not getting any younger and I am not happy with how I look and feel and my health can definately improve. So about 3 weeks ago, I was talking to my lovely husband and saying I needed help getting motivated. I talked to him about joining Curves for Women. Now my hubby is very frugile with the family funds and was iffy about me driving to 16 miles everyday to workout because of gas prices, but the dear that he is, he made a deal with me. He agreed to let go of some of those funds if I would do something for him. He has an early morning paper route before he reports to his real job, which requires getting up about 4am every morning. He said if I would take that over (giving him an extra 2 hrs. of sleep) and workout out after the route, he could justify using the extra gas funds. So I went for it. I think he realizes that I needed this. I have to say that the last few weeks have been great. I have gotten to bed earlier most nights, which I needed to do and I just feel so much better. I definately have a long ways to go to get to my goal weight, but I hope to stay motivated to reach my goal. I appreciate the support my family and friends have given me. I hope by creating this blog and sharing my experiences, I can help motivate others to get healthy both physically and spiritually. I also look forward to hearing suggestions from others that might help in my journey. We can do this together! P.S. I know when my 13 year old daughter sees this, she is gonna say it is CHEESY! LOL! Someday she will get it and it doesn't hurt to be cheesy every once and a while, right?
